Oleg Shamovsky is a prominent industrialist, business builder and private equity investor in infrastructure with over 18 years of global industry experience. During his 10-year career at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), Oleg helped build KKR’s infrastructure investment business in the EMEA region and distinguished himself as one of the firm’s most prominent investment professionals. Oleg originated and executed investments, built industrial platforms, delivered operational transformations, led management teams and sat on boards of a wide range of companies in the renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, energy efficiency, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, transportation, water infrastructure, utilities and social infrastructure sectors. He also played a significant role in helping KKR raise over $40 billion of equity capital for various value-added, Core+ and Core infrastructure funds, specially managed accounts, and co-investment vehicles.

In addition to his tenure at KKR, Oleg also held various senior leadership positions at Arjun Infrastructure Partners, Partners Group and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). He began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley and started his private equity career at Terra Firma Capital Partners.

Oleg has deep domain expertise across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors, has a vast network of industry experts, investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers and professional advisors, and has extensive experience in recruiting top talent and building high performance teams and cultures.

Oleg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a Canadian national and is based in the Zurich area in Switzerland.
